      Description

      Currently the code calling an external process will log and ignore failure to start a process:

              try {
                  process = processBuilder.start();
              } catch (IOException e) {
                  log.error("Could not start " + processName, e);
              }

      If we don't ignore this with something as simple as the following, will make the affected test methods fail more gracefully:

              try {
                  process = processBuilder.start();
              } catch (IOException e) {
                  log.error("Could not start " + processName, e);
                  return -1; // This will never be a normal process' exit value
              }
